We are kadó, specialists in fine liquorice from Europe. Founded in 1997, we are based in Berlin's Graefekiez neighbourhood. For many years we operated a specialist liquorice shop, now known as kadó Lakritzfachhandel.
We welcome your liquorice orders online, dear customers and liquorice enthusiasts.
kadó liquorice is available:
- for collection on site at the ‘Liquorice Window’ at Graefestrasse 68 in 10967 Berlin, payment is made on site in cash or by card (if possible, please no credit cards).
- as a liquorice parcel by post to the desired (delivery) address.

Our liquorice shop invites you to browse. The approximately 30 liquorice mixes explore the diversity of liquorice, e.g. the popular salt liquorice mix. Here we have combined salt varieties from Holland and Scandinavia, from lightly to heavily salted, for you to discover and rediscover.
The kadó liquorice mix contains a cross-section of the entire kadó liquorice range. Here you can taste sweet, sweet and sour, salty, spicy... etc.
We would like to spoil you and invite you to let the liquorice recipes from all corners of Europe melt in your mouth.
Looking for your favourite liquorice? Each variety is immortalised with a photo and can be ordered individually. All liquorice is weighed and packaged by hand by our kadó-letten (employees). Ask us, give us a call – we are on site and happy to advise you. We have a special liquorice window for chatting and advising.
Whether you want to send a packet of liquorice or collect it yourself with free postage, you can decide during the ordering process under ‘Shipping method’. Customers collecting their orders will receive a prompt notification by email when their order is ready for collection.
